Our team

Creo films was created from the desire of combine our profession with our faith. It is an audiovisual production company founded in Montevideo, Uruguay, that aims to capture, portray and discover through a camera those things which remain hidden from our eyes and show them as present, alive, modern.

The Creo Film team is formed by Christian professionals specialised in different aspects of the audiovisual production. This way our production company is capable of making all kinds of audiovisual projects, from the smallest to the most ambitious.

Joaquin Gari

Joaquin Gari

Director and Photography Director

He is Postproducer in visual effects, designer and 3D modeler. He works in the art department of a national television channel, doing graphic design and set design. He does photography, production and postproduction works in events of the Archdiocese of Montevideo. He is currently studying engineering at the Universidad Católica del Uruguay.

Javier Venerio

Javier Venerio

Director and Postproduction Director

He has got studies in Audiovisual Communication in the Universidad Católica del Uruguay and in Musical Production in Buenos Aires. He is Head Producer in Advertising, and has received several awards in international festivals for pieces that he has participated in. His studies in theology and his extensive experience developing communication projects for the episcopal conference of Uruguay are key assets for the Creo Films’ projects.

Mariana Garófalo

Mariana Garófalo

Executive Producer and Assistant Director

She has a degree in Social Communication from the Universidad Católica del Uruguay and she does production work both in audiovisual production companies and as a freelancer. Her projects includes the production and making of the documentary “El trabajo de una vida“, a short film selected for the international film festival of Uruguay. Her passions are documentaries and photography.

Natalia Guzmán

Natalia Guzmán

Producer and Art Director

She has a degree in Social Communication from the Universidad Católica del Uruguay and has a diploma in both International Art Direction (given by the Argentinian Director Christina Nigro), and in Script workshop for cinema and television (given by Alan Goldman). She works as screenwriter in her thesis “Establo para dos”. Her passions are screenwriting and set design.

Carolina Paiva

Carolina Paiva

Photographer and Art Assistant

She has a degree in Communication Science from the Universidad de la República and she currently works in the communication area of a state agency. She has projects in Visual anthropology and has trained in photography, cinema and graphic design. She is a lomography enthusiast: her pictures were shown in Lomowall 2013 (Montevideo City Council, Uruguay)
